Booked for my wife to stay here for a night away from the kids with a meal and a couple of spa treatments. She had a wonderful time and came home with nothing negative to say. She took a friend and try were both blown away, particularly by the quality of the food. Not only was it incredible quality (their compliments to the chef!) but they both said the food was served in actual portion sizes that filled you up. Room was larger than expected, clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful whilst I was booking and made various amendments without making me feel like I was putting them out (this happens far more often than you'd expect!) and were very attentive during the stay. The Happy Birthday chocolates served after dinner were a lovely touch. Grounds are stunning, only the cold weather and snow stopped my wife exploring more. Both said their spa treatments were very enjoyable and both want to come back soon! All in all, I can't recommend enough, Thank you!!
Staff throughout the hotel during each part of our stay were very welcoming, professional and accommodating. The treatments in the Spa were fantastic and again the staff were very attentive and friendly whilst professional. The quality of our dinner was amazing, thoroughly enjoyed every course. We went for a feature room which was superb. The bed was so comfortable and the views were amazing. Breakfast was also a delight in the Orangery. The whole experience was extremely relaxing and enjoyable and would definitely recommend. We will stay again next year as also a great location.
Fine old building with lovely and attentive staff. Our room was clean and comfortable but the television kept on dropping out (I feel guilty for not mentioning it). Evening meal was good although they had run out of the House White, which was included, forcing us to choose another which we had to pay the difference on. Breakfast was excellent and all in all, we had a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful part of the world. Recommended!
The hotel is fabulous The staff so helpful polite and professional. Food was excellent and Jonathan just went the extra mile in service. He could not have done more. Always made time to talk and ask if we needed anything. Will was also very good. We were looking after our grandson whilst our daughter and her husband were attending a wedding. We will be returning in October and I must say we can't wait. We must give a special mention to front of house. They did everything they could to make sure we were happy and safe in our room with a 14 month old. We have two lots of friends that have booked on our strong recommendation. THANKYOU
Had a beautiful over night stay here which included dinner and breakfast. Food was delicious and really nice wine at reasonable prices. Staff very attentive and friendly. Lovely views especially in the dining room. Beautiful comfortable rooms and slept like a baby in comfortable bed. Oh and the poshest smoking hut you have ever seen.We will definitely be returning to this hotel
Just returned from a 2 night stay with friends. What a fantastic time we had. Could not fault anything. The restaurant was excellent...the food delicious, with a wide menu choice. We were warmly welcomed and even received a complimentary room upgrade. The staff throughout the hotel were exceptional. We enjoyed the friendly banter with the restaurant staff and couldnt disagree more with a previous review regarding there understanding!! Just wish i could speak other languages as well as they speak English! Thank you Wyck House Hotel...we will recommend and be back.
Spent a long weekend here and had a lovely restful time. Our room was in a separate development away from the main hotel and the actual room was very large and well presented and we found it very comfortable. Breakfast is good with lots of options and the full English is tasty and you can select what you want from the menu. Staff are very friendly and approachable and will.go out of thier way to help. The only thing I would say is that the bar menu is limited and over priced for what's on offer An example of this is charging £2.95 for a handful of chips presented in small bucket!! Overall, a lovely hotel and great for a quiet weekend away.
The hotel is lovely, if I were to be picky, perhaps some of the corridors and stairwells are in need of some love. However it was warm, the rooms really comfortable. However what made the weekend for us were the staff. So many went above and beyond to make our weekend so special. Nothing was too much trouble and always done with a smile. The food was excellent, the drinks were well priced and the breakfast was superb. Thank you all for making the weekend special.
